Today we present our “Silk Route” project, a study
that binds together the unique characteristics of the area’s microclimate and land with the gastronomic treasures once traded and exchanged in the Silk Routes.
Venetian gastronomy is very different from the Gastronomy of Italy. Venetian Gastronomy has been built on the powerful and the powerless. Over the centuries Venice earned unequalled power, extending its rule over the entire length of the shores around the eastern Mediterranean, to the Mongol Empire and Persia, as well to Caucasus and China, spanning many branches of the historic Silk Route.
